Reporting Scams
The foundation is aware of various scams in the form of email, phone, text, and social media solicitations (including direct messages) that claim to be from or associated with the Ford Foundation and/or President Darren Walker.
These communications may include our logo, photos, links, or other information taken directly from our website, fordfoundation.org. These messages may suggest grants, awards, scholarships, employment and/or funds are forthcoming.

Examples of scam communications
The Ford Foundation and its employees do not:
- Solicit donations or request funds of any kind.
- Require or request grantees to pay insurance, deposits, or delivery and administrative fees to receive funding.
- Ask for bank account or personal information.
- Approach individuals to offer grant opportunities or scholarships.
- Sponsor lotteries of any kind.
- Offer investment opportunities.
- Request conference fees or fees to apply for jobs.
What to do if you receive a scam communication
If you receive any of the above communications or a message you feel is suspicious, you can disregard it. Do not click any links, send money, or provide any personal or bank account information.
