This past June, I had the honor of attending the Aspen Ideas Festival, where I was surrounded by global leaders and innovators. First, I joined the “Be the People” panel with Asha Curran, CEO of GivingTuesday; Brian Hooks, CEO of Stand Together; and Jane Wales, founder of the Aspen Philanthropy Group. The “Be the People” campaign is a terrific example of bridge-building, and I’m delighted Ford is a part of it.
I also had the opportunity to moderate the “Consent of the Governed: The Fight for the Franchise” panel with Benjamin Ginsberg, the Volker Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution; Richard L. Hasen, professor of law and political science and director of the Safeguarding Democracy Project at the UCLA School of Law; Sarah Isgur, editor of SCOTUSblog, American attorney, political commentator, and former spokesperson at the United States Department of Justice; and Janai Nelson, president and director-counsel of the Legal Defense Fund. The discussion was terrific, and I’m grateful for their collective expertise.
