“I am committed to being a strong voice for feminism and advocating for the rights of women in China and around the world.”

Jing Xiong is a Chinese feminist activist now residing in Hong Kong. She was actively engaged in the feminist movement in China in the last decade, acting as the editor and executive director of Feminist Voices, a once influential feminist social platform.

Jing initiated capacity building and development programs and activities for young activists, integrating advocacy on gender equality and women’s rights with social media and public education.

On top of her duties at Feminist Voices, she wrote about women’s rights around the globe and the feminist movement in China.

Vision: The struggle for women’s rights is never-ending. We must build a more organic, supportive, and sustainable feminist movement that facilitates changes both in the external environment and within ourselves, appreciates the value and growth of individuals, and enables genuine connections between people.
