Laura Reyes Vélez is the program assistant for the Ford Foundation’s Andean Region office in Bogotá. In this role, she works closely with two program officers by coordinating administrative processes, managing calendars, and facilitating clear and consistent communication with grantees throughout the grantmaking process.
Before joining the foundation, Laura worked at the Fulbright Commission in Colombia, providing guidance and support to more than 200 grantees. She has also contributed to peacebuilding initiatives with SomosCaPAZes and gained experience in diplomacy and cooperation through an internship with the Delegation of the European Union in Colombia.
Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Universidad del Rosario and a specialization degree in international cooperation and project management for development from Universidad Externado de Colombia.
