Jeffrey Hernandez works on the Gender, Racial, and Ethnic Justice team. He has supported advancing racial justice and minority rights, protecting immigrant and migrant rights, and reforming civil and criminal justice. He has also worked to promote reproductive rights and sexual health, advance women’s rights, and reduce HIV/AIDS discrimination and exclusion.

Jeff has been with Ford since 1997, working in different capacities at the foundation, and since 2004 he has been a grants manager, focusing on civil and human rights. Prior to assuming this role, Jeff worked as a data control administrator in the Office of the Secretary’s Grants Processing Unit. There, he coordinated grant information from various databases and worked with grants-processing specialists to review grant materials to ensure they met foundation and Internal Revenue Service regulations and guidelines.

Jeff received his bachelor’s degree in film/video production and media communications from Hunter College.
