Gauri Nagpal is a program associate with the GREJ-I team. She contributes to the development, monitoring, and implementation of their grantmaking strategy. 

A trained urban planner, Gauri has worked to end persistent inequality, structural deprivation, and environmental degradation in the Global South. She has focused on addressing issues of informality and economic stratification in urban settings in India, including founding an initiative that provides affordable electric vehicles to informal workers in Chandigarh. 

Gauri began her research career as a fellow at the Indian Institute of Human Settlements, Bengaluru, where she established her foundation. She holds dual master’s degrees in urban planning and design studies from Harvard University.
