Major Foundations Commit $7.1 Million to Aid Workers and Families

Several major foundations have joined forces to launch an emergency fund—with an initial commitment of $7.1 million—to aid communities throughout the US most devastated by the COVID-19 crisis.
The foundations—including the Ford Foundation, Schmidt Futures, Open Society Foundations, the JPB Foundation, W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and Amalgamated Foundation—aim to raise $20 million for the Families and Workers Fund, officially launched on Wednesday.
