Zhang Yingjie is a grants manager in the foundation’s Beijing office, where she coordinates all grants management work from proposal reviews to report reviews, ensuring compliance with prevailing guidelines and regulations. She stepped into the role in 2018 and joined the foundation as a program assistant in 2000.

Before this, Yingjie served as a program associate for U.S. and Canadian Affairs at the Division for International Exchanges of China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR); she also edited CICIR’s monthly journal, Contemporary International Relations. She was a visiting scholar at the International Research and Exchanges Board in the United States in 1996 and a visiting scholar at Simon Fraser University in Canada from 1995-1996. She co-translated a book, Collections of Reports on U.S. National Security Strategy, published by Shi Shi Publishing House in 1996.

Yingjie earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of International Relations in Beijing in 1992.
