Samira Eltiby is a program assistant in the foundation’s Middle East and North America office, where she helps coordinate office operations and strategy. 

Before joining Ford, Samira worked as a consultant for the International Organization for Migration, conducting pre-screening and screening interviews for the organization’s Sudan response. She also volunteered with Catholic Relief Services, in the education program for unaccompanied children ECHO, and with United Nations Volunteers for two United Nations organizations. She also worked as a translator for UNICEF’s U-Report COVID-19 program and as a researcher for the noncommunicable diseases program of the United Nations Development Programme. She was also a teaching assistant at the American University in Cairo.

Samira received her bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Future University in Egypt. She is currently working on her master’s degree in political science at the American University in Cairo.
