Megan Walsh Thompson is part of the Mission Investments team. With a focus on impact investing, she has been responsible for underwriting and monitoring investments for the foundation’s $280 million Program-Related Investment (PRI) fund.

Megan’s current work builds on her background in traditional and social finance. Before joining Ford in 2011, she worked for several years in Citigroup’s Global Securitized Markets group, focusing on auto, credit card, and middle market loan transactions. She interned with social finance organizations including Trickle Up, an international non-profit that supports ultra-poor women, and SJF Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on resource efficiency, sustainability, and technology-enhanced services.

Megan serves on the credit committee of Living Cities Blended Catalyst Fund. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from The College of the Holy Cross, and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
