Maíra Junqueira is a program officer in the foundation’s Brazil office. Prior to joining Ford, she was deputy executive director of Brazil Human Rights Fund, a position she held from 2015 to 2019, having joined the organization in 2006. Throughout her career, she has worked in international relations for NGOs, including at the World Social Forum Secretariat in 2001, its inaugural year.

Maíra has a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) and a master’s degree in international relations from San Tiago Dantas (UNESP, UNICAMP, PUC-SP).
