Esther Ngoda is a grants manager in the foundation’s East Africa office. She has over 20 years of experience in finance, the majority in grants management and the nonprofit sector.

Prior to joining the foundation, Esther provided capacity-building in financial and grants management to a wide array of grantees, from small, grassroots organizations to larger, national organizations. She worked with State University of New York on the Agile and Harmonized Assistance to Devolved Institutions project as senior grants manager. She has also worked with Act Change Transform as both grants officer and grants manager, providing training and financial reviews to grantees. Esther specializes in training, mentorship, coaching, and policy development and implementation. She has helped several nascent organizations build skills needed to secure funding to serve their communities.

Esther is a fully qualified accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. She has a bachelor of commerce degree in finance from KCA University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in project management at Kenyatta University.
