Esther Anne Parapak is senior grants manager in the Jakarta office. She oversees grant management, ensures the foundation’s compliance with local government, and guides grantees from the beginning of the proposal review process through the reporting stage and additional training and assistance. She is passionate about strengthening civil society organizations and has been deeply engaged in the work of the Jakarta office’s BUILD program, as well as the formation of the Resource Hub for Financial Resilience.

Esther originally joined the foundation as a grants manager in 2005 and was appointed a senior grants manager in 2015. In 2019, she became the regional grants manager/program manager coordinator, acting as the liaison between grants managers and program managers in the foundation’s regional offices and the grants management director in New York. Prior to that, she was also the human resources coordinator for the Jakarta office. She started her career as a financial auditor at Arthur Andersen Indonesia and also worked for Jakarta’s Population Council.

Esther has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Indonesia and a master’s in management from Pelita Harapan University.
