As we mark the 50th anniversary of the foundation’s work in Latin America, Mexico’s Publimetro reports on a series of upcoming events that will bring the milestone to life by highlighting urgent regional issues including migration, social exclusion and poverty. “We are proud of the work we have supported over these 50 years in the region because it has helped to advance the rights of all people,” said Mario Bronfman, Ford’s representative for Mexico and Central America. “We have always believed that the best way to advance our initiatives is by working with those who live and work closest to the problems.”

Fundación Ford: 50 años al servicio de las personas
May 5, 2012La Fundación Ford para México está celebrando 50 años de existencia y por este motivo las celebraciones están comenzando.
El representante de la oficina regional para México y Centroamérica, Mario Bronfman, mencionó que los eventos especiales destacarán este año no sólo la presencia de la Fundación en estos 50 años, sino, sobre todo, la labor realizada por organizaciones sociales y académicas que trabajan en los temas de migración, inclusión social, generación de oportunidades, reducción de la pobreza y acceso a la justicia.
“Estamos orgullosos del trabajo que hemos apoyado durante estos cincuenta años en la región porque han servido para lograr avances en el reconocimiento y respeto a los derechos de todos”, dijo Bronfman. “Siempre hemos creído que la mejor manera de hacerlo es mediante el impulso a las iniciativas de aquellos que viven y trabajan más cerca de los problemas”.
