Ford Foundation Screening of “Black in Latin America” with Henry Louis Gates Jr.
On April 11, 2011, the Ford Foundation held a special screening and discussion in collaboration with WNET and PBS of "Black in Latin America." Harvard scholar and series producer Henry Louis Gates Jr. introduced the new four-part documentary on the history of the African presence in Latin America and took questions from the invited audience of filmmakers and academics after the screening. "Black in Latin America" premieres nationally April 12, and airs every Tuesday through May 10.
