Lori Matia joined the foundation as a grants administrator before assuming her role as senior grants manager. In her work at Ford she has supported human rights and governance, education, creativity, and free expression. As senior grants manager she has overseen grants managers, grants, and management budgets and provided operational and management support to leadership.
Prior to joining the foundation in 1990, Lori worked at the Institute of International Education in the US Student Programs and Foreign Student Placement divisions. She also worked as a researcher at the Educational Research Service in Arlington, Virginia.
Lori has a master of education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in art history from Duke University.
