Leah Mayor is a member of the Inclusive Economies team. As a grants officer, she has supported efforts to increase economic security and mobility for low-income families, close the racial wealth gap, and advance financial inclusion.
Before joining the foundation in 2013, Leah was a consultant and adviser to the Connecticut Department of Agriculture, as well as to dozens of food and agriculture-based organizations working to increase food security for families and economic security for family farms through local food procurement. She served as director of the Working Lands Alliance, leading a broad-based state coalition to protect state farmland and advance agricultural viability in Connecticut, where she lives near her family’s farm.
Leah holds a Ph.D in adult and extension education and an master’s degree in learning, teaching, and social policy, both from Cornell University. She earned her a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Wisconsin.
