James Gallagher is part of the Economic Opportunity and Markets, and Inclusive Economies, teams. He has worked on planning, monitoring, and compliance connected with the foundation's grants and program-related investments and also has worked with teams on project management and analysis.
Previous to joining Ford in 2010, Jim served as a grants manager for the John A. Hartford Foundation, the largest US private philanthropy dedicated to aging and health, and before that as a development manager for the International Longevity Center, a research, education, and advocacy think tank concerned with aging.
Jim earned a master’s degree in public administration from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Fordham University. He is an active member of and volunteer with the Grants Managers Network.
