Kimberly Krasevac-Szekely

Kimberly Krasevac-Szekely focuses on migrant rights and related issues from the foundation's Mexico and Central America office. Her work supports organizations that promote government transparency and accountability to: advance migrant rights; identify and address the root causes of migrant right violations; and develop alternative policy and institutional reform proposals.

Before rejoining the Ford Foundation in 2008, Kim had worked in Latin America with philanthropic and development organizations. She began as a community organizer in Santiago, Chile, and later held various posts, including program officer, in the Ford Foundation's Mexico City office. She also worked with Lutheran World Relief serving as program director for Latin America. In this U.S.-based position, she led the development and implementation of a binational advocacy initiative addressing U.S. foreign policy toward Colombia.

Kim has a master's degree in international relations from The Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in government and international relations/Spanish from the University of Notre Dame.
