Summary Description
The SharePoint Architect supervises the design, development and maintenance of SharePoint based intranet & extranet websites and related workflows applications. S/He manages all aspects of the application development process, including system requirement analysis, system design, programming, testing, implementing and system maintenance. The SharePoint Architect coordinates efforts with Information Management, Office of Program Management, Human Resources and other users of ffnet by collecting knowledge, information and the right resources to perform assigned tasks successfully. S/He provides technical guidance and support for the development of content management tools and technologies. The SharePoint Architect will provide technical leadership to other development staff; evaluate new tools and applications for use at the Foundation; coordinate technology vendor relationships; and communicate project status to IT management and internal customers.
Qualifications
Six to ten years of application systems development experience with at least four years of extensive Intranet applications development experience in SharePoint environment and at least three years as a project leader
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or combination of equivalent experience and education
Extensive experience with the analysis, architecture, design customization, development and administration of SharePoint technologies required- MOSS 2007, WSS 3.0, InfoPath 2007, SharePoint Designer, SQL Server
Extensive experience with design and development using .Net technology C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, ISS, XML, SQL, web services. Experience with MOSS 2007 development using these technologies strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of systems development methodologies, techniques and best practices
Strong document management, content management and collaboration systems experience/skills desired in intranet and extranet environment
Self starter who is able to work independently
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with customer service attitude
Ability to work efficiently with outside IT service vendors.
Salary
$80,600 - $95,500
