Summary Description

The Manager, IT Training and Change Management, is responsible for the development and execution of training strategies, plans, and processes to support the adoption of information technologies and applications across the Foundation.

The Manager will evaluate, select and partner with external training providers to develop and deliver training programs.

The IT training function needs to be engaged early in the development of new systems and application functionality to ensure the design of an effective training and change management program and accompanying communication plan in advance of and simultaneous with the introduction of new technologies.

Responsibilities of the Manager extend to development of training materials to ensure the effective support of the new technology by IT support resources (i.e., Help Desk and Application Support Specialists).

 

Qualifications

  • SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Hard Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in the use of tools for alternative media training (e.g., web, video)
  • 7-10 years of relevant progressive technical training development and presentation experience in a corporate environment
  • 5-7 years of vendor and project management experience
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and an eye for creative graphic design
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Strong organization and vendor management skills
  • Ability to effectively engage a diverse set of vendors, systems integrators and co-workers in both leader and team member roles, as appropriate
  • Ability to interact with a broad range of customers from Executive to Administrative staff
  • Inquisitive nature with a passion for the use of technology to achieve business goals
  • Able to effectively engage non-technical users on technical issues
  • Able to engage and entertain audiences using in-person, audio, and online channels
  • WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 7-8 years of software training development and oversight and presentation experience in a professional environment
  • EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • B.A. in Education, English, or related liberal arts field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • International training experience
  • Marketing or communications background
  • M.A. in liberal arts or MBA
