Summary Description
The Executive Assistant to the Vice President, Democracy, Rights and Justice will work closely with and support this senior executive in carrying out significant global responsibilities by performing a wide range of administrative functions in support of the global initiatives and activities of the Office of the Vice President.
Qualifications
- BA/BS with a minimum of eight to ten years experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience), supporting a senior level high impact executive. Extensive prior experience in a complex, preferably global organization is required.
- Advanced skills with Power Point, Excel, Word and other Microsoft applications are essential
- Advanced experience managing a highly complex global calendar with extreme tact and diplomacy is required, including demonstrated experience interfacing with high level government officials, heads of major non-profit and philanthropic institutions, and other national and global leaders.
- Ability to schedule and manage intricate domestic and international travel itineraries
- Demonstrated ability drafting documents and presentations and responding to correspondence.
- Ability to prioritize and work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with short turn-around deadlines, prioritizing and managing multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, and following through on issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Articulate, self-motivated, highly resourceful, well-organized, detail-oriented and flexible
- Adaptable to working with all levels of staff both within the organization and externally
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) to interface and coordinate with diverse and large numbers of internal and external contacts
- Ability to make decisions and resolve problems with diplomacy
- Fluency in Spanish (both written and oral) is preferred
- A sense of humor
- Brings joy and laughter to the work environment
