Summary Description
The Director of Administrative Support Services is a newly created role. Reporting to the Vice President for Operations, the Director is responsible for the oversight of the program and administrative assistant staff in the Foundation’s New York office and for creating standards and processes for administrative and program assistant staff worldwide. This position is responsible for the recruitment, assessment and deployment of administrative staff throughout the Foundation. S/he is also responsible for developing systems and processes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of administrative staff worldwide.
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S.
- At least ten years of supervisory experience overseeing administrative or operational staff
- Background in and familiarity with leading practices for managing administrative functions
- Experience developing, implementing and managing staff development programs
- Experience managing vendor relationships
- Analytical, detail-oriented, flexible and decisive
- Possess strong people management skills, excellent leadership and communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Establish effective working relationships with people at all levels throughout the organization
- Coordinate several activities at once
- Ability to quickly analyze and resolve problems
- Demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree
