Summary Description

The Grants Systems Manager acts as the bridge between internal and external customers and the software development teams and is responsible for supporting technology development and maintenance for the grant making technologies used by the Foundation. With a focus on the user experience, the Grant Systems Manager will go beyond the delivery of software solutions to insure that grant making applications are deployed and used successfully.

Principal duties and responsibilities will encompass development and maintenance management, including prioritization of development and fix requests, specification requirements for new functionality, testing of developer releases and providing notices to user community, user support management and data and report management.

 

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • •Minimum of 5-10 years of experience with application management and/or business analyst experience
  • •Experience in using and supporting enterprise-wide applications.
  • •Strong analytical and application management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer and business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • •Experience in the application development and support process related to defining requirements and implementing solutions; demonstrated ability to constructively engage subject matter and technical experts in this process.
  • •Facility with communicating ideas/requirements in a variety of ways, technical and non-technical, narrative and visual, depending on the audience.
  • •Ability to quickly generate prototypes, diagrams, and proofs of concept to confirm understanding and expeditiously move a project forward.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • •Experience in analytical research using reporting applications, SQL database queries, and/or complex spreadsheet analysis tools.
  • •Excellent project management skills and proficiency with project management tools.
  • •Ability to work independently and in teams and ability to multi-task.
  • •MS/MA or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • •Experience in reporting application such as Crystal Reports.
  • •Experience working in a non-profit organization.
  • •Familiarity with the practices of philanthropic institutions.
