Organizations worldwide are striving to make the global finance system more transparent and democratic.
The global financial system has a profound impact on the lives of people around the world, affecting everything from the availability of jobs and home mortgages to the price of food. Yet for most of us, the workings of the system are difficult to understand and largely closed from view.
In collaboration with partners worldwide, we are working to change that picture. By making global finance more transparent and understandable to many more people, we hope to stimulate and broaden an international civic conversation about the future of the global financial system—how it should be governed, and how it can do a better job of fostering stability, equality, growth and development.
